By accessing the section of the site reserved for the “Institutional Investor”, the user must consent, confirm and certify that he/she is a “Professional Client by right” based on the following definition.
The following are defined as “Professional customers by right”:
subjects that are required to be authorised or regulated to operate in the financial markets, be they Italian or foreign, such as:
a) banks;
b) Investment firms;
c) Other authorised or regulated financial institutions;
d) Insurance companies;
e) Collective investment schemes and management companies of such schemes;
f) Pension funds and management companies of such funds;
g) Commodity and commodity derivatives dealers;
h) Entities exclusively dealing on own account in financial instruments markets and indirectly participating in the settlement service, as well as in the clearing and guarantee system (locals);
i) Other institutional investors;
l) Stockbrokers;
(2) Large companies presenting at least two of the following dimensional requirements at individual company level:
– balance sheet total: EUR 20,000,000
– net turnover: EUR 40,000,000
– own funds: EUR 2,000,000.
(3) Institutional investors whose main activity is to invest in financial instruments, including entities dedicated to the securitisation of assets or other financing transactions.
By accessing the section of the site reserved for the “Private Banker”, the user must consent, confirm and certify that they belong to a type of subjects identified below.
“Private banker” are defined as:
a) persons acting on behalf of intermediaries authorised to provide investment services pursuant to Legislative Decree no. 58/98 (e.g. corporate representatives and private bankers), independent financial advisors and financial advisors authorised to offer off-site services as defined respectively pursuant to art. 18-bis and art. 31 of Legislative Decree no. 58/98;
b) qualified personnel of legal professional investors, as defined pursuant to art. 35, paragraph 1, letter d) of the Consob Regulation on Intermediaries. Qualified personnel means a person who works in the investment, financial or commercial area with adequate experience in the financial sector, in a professional position that presupposes the performance of activities of a financial nature (such as investment/divestment, market monitoring) on behalf of the professional investor.
The person who cannot be included in the types “Institutional Investor” or “Private Banker” is qualified as a Private Investor.
